Your Herringbone Specialists
Glue-down herringbone LVP, laid out from a true centerline, with tight joints, clean borders and optional inlays — for homes from San Antonio to Austin.
Altos Flooring
Herringbone is the floor people notice first, and it's also the least forgiving to install. Every plank meets its neighbors at an angle, so a small error at the start shows across the whole room. That's why we treat layout as the most important part of the job.
We install herringbone LVP as a glue-down floor. Bonding each piece to a flat, prepared subfloor keeps the pattern tight and stable, and lets us run it through living rooms, hallways and entries with clean borders where you want them.
What We Do
We find the room's real centerline and dry-lay the pattern before any glue goes down, so the floor reads straight from the main view and the cuts land evenly at the walls.
Herringbone shows every high and low spot. We check flatness and grind, patch or self-level where needed before installing.
A border around the room or the entry frames the pattern and gives the floor a finished, designed look.
Star and compass inlays — including designs with metal strips — cut and fitted into the pattern.
Stair treads that match the new floor, landings, and clean transitions into the rest of the house.
We're labor-only installers. We recommend picking your herringbone LVP at Floor & Decor; you buy the material and we install it.
