Laminate Flooring

Laminate Flooring Installation in San Antonio

Floating laminate installed over a flat, prepared subfloor, with careful cuts, proper expansion space and clean trim.

Altos Flooring

Wood looks, installed with care

Laminate gives you a wood look with a hard-wearing surface. It's a floating floor, so two things matter most: a flat subfloor and the expansion space the manufacturer requires at walls and doorways. Get those right and the floor stays tight and feels solid underfoot.

We handle the whole job — removing the old floor, leveling where needed, installing the laminate and finishing with transitions and baseboards or shoe molding.

  • Floating laminate installation
  • Underlayment as the manufacturer requires
  • Clean cuts at door jambs & doorways
  • Transitions, baseboards & shoe molding

What We Do

What's included in a laminate installation

Demo & removal

Carpet and tack strip, old laminate or LVP, wood and tile removal, plus adhesive removal and haul-away.

Flat subfloor

Floating floors need a flat base. We grind, patch or self-level the low and high spots before installing.

Expansion space

We leave the expansion gap the manufacturer specifies and cover it with trim, so the floor can move without buckling.

Clean transitions

Neat transitions where laminate meets tile, carpet or another floor.

Furniture & appliances

We can move furniture and appliances and remove and reinstall toilets as part of the job.

Labor-only quotes

You buy the laminate — we recommend Floor & Decor — and we quote the installation and prep.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Laminate or LVP — what's the difference?

Both come in wood looks and both can float. LVP is vinyl-based; laminate has a wood-fiber core under a hard wear layer. Check each product's specs for water resistance and where it can be installed — we install both.

Do you remove the old floor?

Yes — carpet, LVP, laminate, wood and tile removal can all be part of your quote.

Do you sell laminate?

No — we're labor-only. We recommend choosing your laminate at Floor & Decor.

How do I get a price?

Send the estimate form with your square footage and photos. Every project is quoted individually, and the preliminary estimate is free.
